Desilter cones are typically 4”, but some client will request 3”, 5” as well. So it is rather flexible on capacity configuration. Desilter can be fit with the bottom shaker or not. Or it can be combined with shaker and desander together to be the mud cleaner. We call desilter as the 3rd phase solids control equipment.

Oilfeild mud cleaners combination and functions
Mud Cleaner has the capability to process the entire drilling-fluid circulation volume, and remove drilled solids from weighted mud system; retaining expensive barite and liquids, and economically reducing hole problems associated with excessive drilled solids.
Drilling fluid passes through a series of hydrocyclones – either desander or desilter units that separate the fine, line particles from the heavy,coarse particles. Barite passing through the screen and returning to the active system.

Drilling fluid shale shakers to Singapore port
Shale shakers remove large solids (typically larger than 75 microns) from drilling fluid. (Drilling fluid is also known as drilling mud due to its turbid appearance.) Drilling fluids lubricate and cool the drill bit and are therefore integral to any drilling process. Because fluids are expensive to produce, shale shakers improve a rig’s economy by stripping away cuttings for disposal before recycling the fluid.
Today, we shipped a DCS585-4 shale shakers to Singapore port. The shale shakers consist of vibrating sieves or screens which use force to advance the filtered mud through to the mud tank. During operation the inclination of the screen varies proportional to the flow rate of mud.
Shale shakers are important components integral to the drilling process and represent the first phase of solids control in drilling industries such as coal cleaning, mining, and oil and gas production. They are often considered one of the most important pieces of equipment in the solids control system, as the efficiency and performance of all subsequent components depends on the cleanliness of the treated drilling fluid.

Desander and desilter were tested in DC factory
In order to ensure the working efficiency of the desander and desilters. Our inspction department must test it in our workshop before delivery. Today, the desilter and desander were tested in the testing plate.
The desanders make separations between 40 and 100 microns and offer the flexibility of mounting either one, two, or three 10” desander cones over a cone underflow pan. The underflow can be discarded or directed onto a vibrating screen for further processing. DC desanders are also available in vertical or inclined manifold stand-alone models, or for inclined mounting on our shakers.
The desilters are designed to remove silt-sized (20 to 74 microns) solids from drilling fluids. DC desilters are simple to operate and easy to maintain. Optional shutoff valves on each round desilter cone inlet permit individual cone removal and inspection without interrupting operation of the desilter.

DC Mud cleaners combination and functions
Mud cleaner combines a hydrocyclone system (desander cone and desilter cone) with a shale shaker to help remove the fine drilled solids from the drilling fluid. It consists of a two-stage separation process that using a combination of hydrocyclones mounted over a shale shaker to operate as a single unit.

DC solids control desilter unit features the reliable polyurethane desilter cones with a unique 20o taper angle (compare to the 15o taper angle on most other unit.) The twin-cone design provides a 50% greater capacity than other 4 inche (102mm) cones.

Mechanical mud agitators from DC Solid control
DC mud agitators include an explosion-proof, “C” faced motor, reduction gearbox (helical-bevel gears for horizontal agitators or all helical gears for vertical units), impeller, and shaft with assembly bushings.
More than 7.5 kW Mud Agitator uses the turbo and worm gear speed reducer, with the large torque transmission、 the revolution is steady、it works reliablely and has great merit. Common model of mud agitator is JBQ5.5kW 、JBQ7.5kW 、JBQ11kW and JBQ15kW.The drilling mud agitator is an important components for DC Solids Control drilling fluids processing system.
A mechanical agitator is driven by an explosion-proof motor, coupled to a gear box that drives the impeller shaft. The impellers (turbines) transform mechanical power into fluid circulation or agitation. The objective is to obtain a uniform suspension of all solids.
For whole drilling mud system, we’ll operate mud guns together with agitators. The mud agitators provide general agitation and generate large swirl around shaft. Mud gun will be an assistant equipment kill the dead corner and transfer mud between compartments.
Oilfield use decanter centrifuges shipped to Russian
Decanter Centrifuge is designed for the drilling mud solids control and oilfield waste management. DC VFD drive decanter centrifuge with variable speed allows drilling contract or mud service company to do the barite recovery, fine/ ultra fine solids separation,dewatering centrifuge.
Today, DC Solid control shipped 3 sets of oilfield decanter centrifuge for a Russian drilling contract. The centrifuges are the fixed frequency type, and the max drum rotary speed is 2800rpm, max treating capacity is about 45m3.
Decanting centrifuge key part is screw conveyor and transmission. When centrifuge work, drilling fluid will flow into centrifuge through drilling fluid input. Then the roll bowl will increase speed and fluid will flow into centrifuge through one fixed input pipe. Since rolling bowl rotate at rather high speed.

Under the production of DCS584-4 shale shaker
DCS585-4 shale shakers are the common used type of solid control equipment. Recent years, the DCS585-4 shale shakers are widely received by more and more users. The reason why it is widely used in all drill site is similar to the Mongoose series shale shakers.
Last month, DC Solid control got a sale order of 12 sets of DCS585-4 shale shakers. Now our workshop wear busy manufacturing it. The DCS585-4 shale shaker is the combines balanced- and progressive-elliptical motion, enabling operators to switch motion on the fly as drilling conditions change. With a simple flip of a switch, the shale shaker shifts from the balanced-elliptical to the progressive-elliptical motion without the need to suspend or shut down operations.
Operators can change the type of motion required to handle high volume or produce dryer cuttings as drilling conditions dictate. With the DCS585-4 shale shaker, NPT lost to changing out shakers to meet drilling conditions is no longer an issue.

Optimization of Solids Control and Waste Management systems of China DC Solid control
There’s no doubt that drilling fluids (or mud) play a crucial role in drilling activity and efficiencies today – cooling and lubricating drill bits, carrying drill cuttings to the surface, controlling pressure at the bottom of the well, and ensuring that the formation retains the properties defined for that well.
For many years, the maintaining of drilling fluids and the separation of rock particles was down to shale shakers. Through vibration and high G-forces, solids were filtered out for overboard discharge or for treatment on the rig or onshore. The cleaned mud was then incorporated back into the active fluid system and reused to drill the well.
