Use of mud gas separator

Drilling fluid mud gas separator matched use with choke manifold, used to eliminate the free gas in drilling fluid, can apply to unbalanced drilling and the containing hydrogen sulfide processing.

Principle of mud gas separator 

Mug gas separator uses gravity separation principle. After gas invaded drilling fluid through separator inlet pipe enter into mud gas separator import, firstly impact on the deflector which make drilling fluid flow speed decrease in order to crush out the bubbles. In the function of gravity, the big quality drilling fluid will subside. After gas is gravity settling resolve in gas phase area, gas enter into demister to separate the liquid drop which carried by gas phase fluid. After the gas defoamed by light silk screen，will discharged from exhaust port. The flow speed of drilling fluid enter into the liquid phase will decreased, make the residual gas and drilling fluid continue settling separation in liquid phase area.
